As part of our community mission, Inspiración always supports the annunal Latin American Student Organization's Latino Ball at Loyola University. The Ball is a great event that brings together students from across the Loyola community to enjoy Latin food, music and dance. This year we had a brand new roster of college performers lead by IDC Performance Team member, Luis Santillian, a debut piece by Performance Team member Chris Manning and Elisa Alyabyeva from Chicago Dance, a lesson by team members Kevin Little and Olena Jay, and an ensemble piece from the Performance Team. At a time when young students are grappling with insitutional racism on campuses across the country, the LASO Latino Ball is a shining example of how to use culture to bring people together. Inspiración Dance Chicago is proud to be a part of it.
Want to use dance to make a difference? Join a team that will support you in becoming your best! Inspiración Dance Chicago (IDC) is looking for experienced dancers to join our company Perform.ance Team. Qualified applicants will have a strong background in salsa and mambo, experience with lifts and tricks, as well as performance experience.
Consider some of the benefits of joining IDC:
Their first major fundraiser, Noumenon Dance Experience (NDE) is a new Chicago Contemporary Jazz Dance Company. NDE strives to embody dance as an athletic expression with uncompromising technique. Through their devotion to the art form, they share their knowledge though through youth and adult programming.
On June 20th IDC, NDE, and the Joel Hall Dancers will come together to provide a unique, diverse and exciting show. You don't want to miss it!
