It’s been a good year for Inspiración. This spring we created a ballet-bachata piece with Dereque Whiturs of Happy Nia Dance Theater & this fall we commissioned William Gill of the Joel Hall Dancers to create a jazz piece for the Nicholas Senn High School Dance Program.
Principle dancers Olena Javorska, Kevin Little, and Luis Santillian worked with our college affiliate at Loyola University providing free training & choreography.
Our performance team performed everywhere including in the Ray of Stars fundraising gala,  the Orlando Salsa Congress and made their theater debut in the prevue of Los Secretos De Santa Monica.  Finally performance team members Chris Manning and Maria Ninos won the Milwaukee Salsa Championship.
Finally, our work in the community was recognized when we won the Fashion and Arts Humanity Fete Humanitarian Award.
Next year we’re looking to do even more–performing in our first run of a theater show, granting our first college scholarship, and hopefully beginning our first programming for the LGBTQIA community. If you believe in dance programing for the community, please consider making a tax-deductible donation to Inspiración for your end of the year giving!
